The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer dives in and grabs Roth's left leg, looking for a takedown. Roth pushes down on Brewer's head and hops out.
Brewer shoots in for a double leg but Roth sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nice uppercut lands for Brewer. That snapped Roth's head back.

Roth has Brewer up against the cage in a clinch.

Brewer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Roth throws a series of punches but Brewer moves out of range.
Roth thuds his right hand into Brewer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Roth drops Brewer with a beautiful combination! Brewer stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Roth is looking for the KO!

Brewer is rocked!

It looks like Toney Brewer has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Roth is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Brewer flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Brewer is out cold! Roth holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
