Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 936 p4p, 136 weight class) and Andy Bangsit (ranked 1069 p4p, 157 weight class). Ron Burgundy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ron Burgundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Andy Bangsit!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bangsit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burgundy as he avoids it easily.
Burgundy throws a leg kick

and Bangsit counters with a takedown into side control.

Bangsit tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bangsit has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Burgundy manages to get back to half guard.

Bangsit is looking for a kimura here.

Bangsit looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bangsit thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burgundy's head.

Bangsit is trying to work for a kimura but Burgundy is defending well.

Burgundy keeping control of the position.

Bangsit is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Burgundy to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Burgundy keeping full guard, as Bangsit tries to pass.
Bangsit postures up in Burgundy's guard and throws a big left but Burgundy blocks it.
Bangsit wants to pass the guard but Burgundy is keeping the position.

Bangsit has gone for a leg lock! Burgundy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bangsit's guard.

Bangsit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bangsit looking for a guillotine here but Burgundy defends easily.
Burgundy postures up.

Burgundy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Bangsit is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Burgundy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Burgundy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bangsit keeping moving, preventing Burgundy from controlling successfully.

Bangsit looking for a guillotine here but Burgundy defends easily.
Burgundy stopping the sweep attempt from Bangsit.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Burgundy is stalling in the full guard.
Bangsit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bangsit is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burgundy is aware though and is defending well.
Burgundy trying to control the position from guard on top but Bangsit is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burgundy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Burgundy is looking to stand up but Bangsit won't let him.
Burgundy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Bangsit working for a triangle but Burgundy defends it easily.

Bangsit looking for subs off his back but Burgundy has passed one foot through into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bangsit looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Andy Bangsit will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Burgundy throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Bangsit tries to counter with a clinch but Burgundy shakes him off and moves away.
Burgundy throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Bangsit stumbling backwards into the cage! Bangsit bounces back off the cage towards Burgundy, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Burgundy lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Burgundy celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ron Burgundy!
