The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maldini throws a nice head kick!
Maldini lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mies circles away quickly and effectively.
Maldini connects with an inside leg kick.
Mies takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A slapping leg kick lands for Maldini.
Mies has a takedown stuffed.
Mies shoots in but Maldini avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A nice side step and Maldini releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Maldini throws a left that rocks Mies and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Maldini dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Mies regain composure!

Mies wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Maldini's closed guard. He's half up but Maldini has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Maldini pivots and extends the arm, Mies falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Maldini! Well done that man!
