Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petmalu thows a leg kick but Vang checks it

and Vang counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Petmalu!

Petmalu bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Petmalu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vang, pushing him back against the cage.
Petmalu manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Petmalu turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Petmalu manages to end up in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petmalu works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Petmalu tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Petmalu lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Vang down.

Vang is looking for a sweep.
Petmalu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Petmalu wants to stand but Vang is controlling his arm.

Petmalu is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Vang looks calm but he's in trouble here. Petmalu gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Vang is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Petmalu lets go of the hold and Vang can pop his arm back in it's socket.
