The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cervantes shoots in for a takedown but Punyos shows good takedown defense.
Punyos steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Cervantes.
Punyos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cervantes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cervantes takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Chance Cervantes has been cut.
Punyos stuffs the takedown.
Punyos looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Punyos thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Punyos isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cervantes stacks Punyos on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cervantes!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cervantes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Punyos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
