The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hayward throws a right hand that Espinoza ducks under and follows up with a left that Espinoza also avoids with ease.

Espinoza is looking to control Hayward's arms but Hayward gets an underhook and turns him. Now Espinoza has his back to the cage.

Hayward wants the takedown. Espinoza is fighting it off but Hayward persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Espinoza's guard against the cage.
