Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Branden Waller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Smugg!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smugg drives through and clinches with Waller against the cage.
Smugg working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Smugg's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Smugg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Smugg closes the distance and clinches.
Waller tries to break free but Smugg pushes him back against the cage.
Waller is trying to break the clinch but Smugg is controlling him.

Smugg lands with a short shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Waller drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smugg pulls his leg out and moves away.

Smugg's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Smugg gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Smugg lands with a left to the head.
Waller is trying to break free.
Smugg works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Smugg manages to break the clinch.

Smugg drives through and clinches with Waller against the cage.
Smugg misses with a punch to the body.

Waller gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Smugg regains guard.
Smugg wants to stand and escape but Waller is having none of it.

Smugg pushes Waller off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smugg lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Waller or not.

Waller has had enough of the clinch but Smugg keeps him there for the moment.
Waller is looking to break free of the clinch but Smugg has double underhooks.
Smugg lands an uppercut.
Waller is trying to force a seperation but Smugg has the dominant position.
Waller has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Smugg after a bit of a struggle.

Smugg is leaning against Waller and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Waller is breathing heavily.

Waller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Smugg pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Smugg closes the distance and pushes Waller back into the cage.
Waller could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Waller tries to break the clinch but Smugg is controlling the position.

Smugg manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Smugg dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Smugg has Waller pressed against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Smugg creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Smugg pushes Waller back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Waller is rocked!
Smugg throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wallers head.
Oh Waller is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Smugg pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Branden Waller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Smugg has managed to clinch.
Smugg lands an uppercut.
Smugg lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Smugg dips a shoulder and cracks Waller with a mighty uppercut! Waller falls back against the cage and Smugg unloads with a barrage of strikes! Waller is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Smugg screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Smugg!
