PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devon Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kickin His (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is It Was a Good Day - Ice Cube. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Williams misses its intended target.
Williams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by His.
Williams throws a looping overhand right but His ducks down to avoid it.
Williams misses the jab.
His bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
His tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance.
A telegraphed right hand from Williams misses the target.

His has taken the fight to the clinch.
His is trying to stall.
Williams has a couple of punches blocked by His.
A head punch on the inside from Williams fails to land.
His blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Williams gets underhooks to prevent His's takedown attempt.
Williams swings wildly with an uppercut but His uses good head movement to avoid it.
His has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Williams is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

His breaks the clinch.

His feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
His working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Williams wants to stand and escape but His is having none of it.

His decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Williams, up you get!
His staying out of range there.
Williams swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
His moves out of range as Williams strikes.

Williams throws a hook to the side of His's head but His sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
His tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Williams paws at him with a jab and circles away.

His shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than His was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Williams takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Williams really wants to buck His off and get back to his feet.
Williams is breathing heavily.
Williams is trying to stand but he's just given His his back.
His scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
His controlling the position well here. Williams rolled but His kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

His cracks Williams with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Williams from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

His is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Williams has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but His has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Williams taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. His doesn't care though - he's delighted!
