The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Jansen.
Jansen connects with a high kick.

It looks like Russell Ransom has been cut.
Ransom takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jansen looks for a takedown but Ransom sprawls well.
Jansen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jansen has Ransom up against the ropes in a clinch.

Ransom tries for a takedown but Jansen manages to get underhooks.

Jansen wants to get back to striking at distance but Ransom won't allow it.

Ransom has Jansen pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Jansen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jansen has had enough of the clinch but Ransom keeps him there for the moment.

Jansen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jansen manages to end up in side control.
Ransom is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jansen decides to stand back up.

and Jansen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
