The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viper tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Copeland counters with a three punch combo that has Viper backing up. Viper nods at Copeland to acknowledge the strikes.
Copeland could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Copeland tries to clinch but Viper is having none of it.
Viper avoids the head kick by Copeland.

Viper moves into the clinch.

Viper pulls guard.
Viper pulls Copeland in close to his closed guard and prevents Copeland from doing any damage or advancing position.

Viper is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Copeland presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
