Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zombie Fighter (ranked 5155 p4p, 584 weight class) and Dan Roberts (ranked 5638 p4p, 619 weight class). Fighter comes to the cage accompanied by Highway to Hell. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fighter has managed to clinch.
Roberts is looking to break free of the clinch but Fighter has double underhooks.
Fighter throws a head punch that misses.
Roberts with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Fighter displaying some good clinch control by pressing Roberts up against the cage.
Fighter is working for takedown but Roberts is calmly controlling the position for now.

Roberts is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fighter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Roberts to the mat. Roberts regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Roberts has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Fighter off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Fighter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Roberts looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Fighter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Roberts pulls his leg out and moves away.

Fighter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Roberts.
Fighter shoots in looking for a takedown. Roberts tries to sprawl out of it but Fighter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roberts manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zombie Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fighter looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

and Roberts counters with a three punch combo that has Fighter backing up. Fighter nods at Roberts to acknowledge the strikes.
Fighter tries to bum rush Roberts with a series of wild strikes but Roberts uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Roberts throws a push kick but Fighter slaps the foot to one side.
Fighter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Roberts circles away quickly and effectively.

Roberts darts in and clinches Fighter up against the cage.

Fighter has Roberts pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Roberts manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Roberts is pressed up against the cage. Fighter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Roberts down to the mat. Roberts avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Fighter misses with a lunging right hand
and Roberts counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Zombie Fighter has been cut.

Roberts drops Fighter with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fighter looks back up at him and smiles so Roberts waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Fighter is rocked!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Roberts moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Fighter! Roberts continues to tee off on Fighter, landing with a left and a right! Roberts connects with a right hand that leaves Fighter sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Roberts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dan Roberts!
A relieved looking Dan Roberts thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Zombie Fighter was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back, thank you everyone, my opponent was a great fighter.'.
