PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kazuka Fuujin (ranked 271 p4p, 29 weight class) and Wu Fei Chung (ranked 260 p4p, 28 weight class). Fuujin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, a lot of Asian swag in this young man. Fei Chung has chosen God of Gamblers as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fei Chung keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fei Chung ducks under a wild hook from Fuujin.
Fei Chung fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fuujin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Fuujin tries to score a body lock takedown but Fei Chung shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Fei Chung manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Fuujin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fei Chung swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fei Chung looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fuujin has picked Fei Chung up and slammed him! Fei Chung can't keep hold of the triangle and Fuujin manages to pass to side control!

Fei Chung felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fei Chung holds on to Fuujin as tight as he can, avoiding damage.

Fuujin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fei Chung has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fei Chung!

That was a close round but I would say that Kazuka Fuujin will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Fuujin throws a hook to the side of Fei Chung's head but Fei Chung sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fuujin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fei Chung circles away quickly and effectively.
Fuujin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Kazuka Fuujin is winning the standup battle so far.
Fuujin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Fei Chung.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fuujin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fei Chung looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fuujin tries to advance to mount but Fei Chung instead regains half guard.
Fuujin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fei Chung does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fei Chung is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fuujin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fuujin's back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fuujin is trying to control his opponent's hands. Eventually Fei Chung gets his hands free and sinks in a rear naked choke. For a while it looks like Fuujin is going to survive but after struggling valiantly, he eventually has to tap out! Fei Chung is your winner!
