Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Island Junkie (ranked 4009 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Erdmenger (ranked 6146 p4p, 0 weight class). Erdmenger has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Island Junkie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Daniel Erdmenger's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Erdmenger!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erdmenger gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Junkie to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Erdmenger looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Junkie pushes down on Erdmenger's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Erdmenger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Junkie wants to control but Erdmenger is keeping him busy.
Junkie is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Erdmenger is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Junkie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Junkie trying to control from half guard but Erdmenger is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Junkie lands a nice short elbow.
Erdmenger is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Junkie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Erdmenger keeps working.

Junkie is keen to just control but Erdmenger is a slippery customer.

Junkie is trying to control the action in half guard but Erdmenger is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Junkie working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Junkie scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Junkie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Erdmenger keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Erdmenger is in trouble now - Junkie has advanced to mount!
Junkie trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Junkie connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Erdmenger takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Erdmenger is rocked!
Junkie working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Erdmenger looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Junkie! Submission of the night perhaps?
