The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarado pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Alvarado tries to keep at a distance but De Negri has taken the fight into the clinch.

De Negri manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alvarado accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

De Negri pulls Alvarado in close to his closed guard and prevents Alvarado from doing any damage or advancing position.

What can Alvarado do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
