Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guido Rossi (ranked 3930 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Jong (ranked 3124 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Guido Rossi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kim Jong!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jong shoots for a double leg takedown but Rossi sprawls well. He's pushed Jong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jong closes the distance but Rossi moves to the side
letting Rossi counter with a right hand.
Jong is looking to clinch but Rossi is avoiding it.
A left and a right from Jong both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Guido Rossi has been cut.
Jong wants to clinch
and Rossi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Jong has eaten all the pies!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rossi is fending him off so far but Jong persists. Nope, Rossi circles away and we're back to standing.
Jong shoots in looking for a takedown but Rossi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Guido Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Jong.
Rossi checks a leg kick.
It looked like Rossi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jong.

Jong darts in looking for a takedown but Rossi gets double underhooks and turns Jong into the cage.
Rossi appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Jong closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jong is working for a submission of some sort.
Jong throwing shots but Rossi is blocking nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rossi is trying to control but can't.
Jong trying to control from half guard but Rossi is working away.
Rossi is controlling Jong's trapped leg to prevent Jong from advancing to side control.
Rossi tries to get to full guard but Jong has control of the leg.

Jong decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Rossi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jong.
It looked like Rossi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Rossi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rossi wants it to stay on the feet.
Rossi is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jong closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rossi quickly recovers to half guard.
Rossi is looking for a sweep. Jong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rossi is working hard here to advance position.
Rossi is controlling Jong's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Jong takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jong thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jong is looking to advance position but Rossi won't allow it.
Rossi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jong on the ground.
Jong controlling the action here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jong thows a huge punch but Rossi dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jong is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rossi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim Jong dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Guido Rossi's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jong shoots for a takedown but Rossi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A little feinted left hand from Rossi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Jong fails with the takedown.
Jong misses with a hook
and Rossi counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Rossi slips a jab and a cross from Jong.
A quick step to the side and Rossi tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jong throws a series of punches but Rossi avoids them all with ease.

No joy there for Jong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rossi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Rossi counters with a stiff right hand.
Jong is breathing heavily.
Jong throws a leg kick

and Rossi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jong! Rossi lets Jong back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

and Rossi counters with a huge right that knocks Jong out cold! Rossi is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Guido Rossi!
In his post fight interview, Guido Rossi started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
