A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Burns is looking to chop away at Tsuruta's legs.
Burns misses with an uppercut. Tsuruta saw that one coming.
Tsuruta takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Burns cracks Tsuruta with an open hand slap.
Burns missing with a left hand there. Tsuruta was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Tsuruta shoots in for a takedown but Burns shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A lazy left from Burns finds it's target.

Tsuruta forces Burns back against the cage and clinches.
Burns scores with a hook to the body.
Burns scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Tsuruta tries for a takedown but Burns manages to get underhooks.
Tsuruta scores with a shot to the side of Burns's head.

Connor Mac Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomomi Tsuruta.
Burns lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Tsuruta shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burns as he avoids it easily.
Burns seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Burns cracks Tsuruta with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Burns has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Tsuruta to stand back up!

Tsuruta is rocked!

It looks like Tomomi Tsuruta has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tsuruta ducks into an uppercut from Burns and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Connor Mac Burns rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
