Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Baillie (ranked 6332 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samson Luminor (ranked 6273 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luke Baillie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samson Luminor!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luminor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Baillie defends well and Luminor ends up having to push Baillie into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Luminor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Baillie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Luminor misses with a takedown attempt - Baillie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Luke Baillie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samson Luminor.

Luminor moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Baillie tests Luminor's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Baillie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luminor shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Baillie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Luminor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Luminor lands in his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Baillie pulls Luminor in close to his closed guard and prevents Luminor from doing any damage or advancing position.

Luminor tries to free his leg and advance position but Baillie is retaining full guard.
Luminor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Luminor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Luminor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Baillie manages to work his way to half guard, despite Luminor's best efforts.

Luminor is pressing down on Baillie's thigh, looking to free his foot. Baillie is holding on for now.
Luminor is working for a submission of some sort.
Baillie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Luminor on the ground.

Luminor seems to be working for a kimura but Baillie defends the submission attempt.

Luminor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Baillie sees it coming and defends easily.
Luminor blocks the strikes from Baillie.
Baillie tries to roll over but Luminor keeps him under control.
Luminor tries to pass to full mount but Baillie defends it.
Luminor is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Luminor prevents Baillie from improving his position.
Luminor is looking for a kimura but Baillie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Luminor to get the leverage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Baillie tries to roll over but Luminor keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luminor throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Luminor is looking to advance position but Baillie won't allow it.
Baillie manages to get to full guard.
Luminor preventing the sweep.
Baillie seems keen to control Luminor's posture.
Baillie wants to sweep but no luck.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Baillie is working hard here to advance position.
Baillie wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Luke Baillie will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Baillie lands with a straight right. Luminor didn't see that one coming.

Luminor is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Luminor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Baillie napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Luminor has an Americana. Baillie didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Luminor is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Luminor hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
