The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obasi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Denille punishes Obasi's body with a nice straight punch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Denille, right into the meat.
Obasi wants to clinch.
Denille throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Solomon Obasi has been cut.

and Denille makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Denille scores with a crisp jab that stopped Obasi in his tracks.
Obasi throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Denille counters with a nice low kick that buckles Obasi's knee momentarily.

Denille fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Obasi, pushing him back against the cage.
Denille digs a right hand underneath Obasi's ribcage. Obasi let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Denille lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Obasi is trying to escape back to his feet but Denille uses the scramble to pass into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Obasi is not content to let Denille control the position.
Obasi takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
We've been hearing that Denille has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Obasi takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
