Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Albright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albright slips a jab and a cross from Howard.
Albright moves out of range as Howard throws a body kick.

Albright shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Albright with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Albright wants to finish this one by submission but Howard is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Albright.
Albright can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Howard is looking to escape.

Howard has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Albright has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Howard has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Howard is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Albright is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Howard has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Howard is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Albright gets his way!

Albright controlling the position well here. Howard rolled but Albright kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Albright is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Howard defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Howard is trying to get back to his feet but Albright has full control of the position and if anything, Howard has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Albright is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Howard manages to stand up with Albright still on his back. Eventually Albright drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Jimmy Albright has got the better of the ground game so far.

Albright shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Howard as he avoids it easily.
Howard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Albright fails with the takedown.
Albright avoids a punch combination nicely.
Howard throws a nice looking combination but Albright bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Albright crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Howard - the referee stops the clock and Albright gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Howard. Albright manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Albright wants to advance to full mount but Howard doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
