Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genghis Khan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan goes for a double leg but Thomas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Thomas continues to drive forward.

Thomas scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Thomas seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Thomas is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan wants to improve his position but Thomas is controlling well.
Khan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thomas is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Thomas is working for a submission of some sort.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Khan wants to get back to full guard but Thomas has mounted him!
Thomas tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Thomas looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Thomas has hold of Khan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Khan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Thomas goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Khan is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Thomas has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Khan should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Thomas has tightened it up now! Khan should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
