Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Williams!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eskenson fails with a takedown attempt.
Williams throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Williams as Eskenson shoots in.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Williams!
Eskenson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christur Eskenson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Eskenson gets tackled into the cage by Williams. Williams maintains the clinch.
Eskenson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Williams gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Williams lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Williams breaks from the clinch.

Eskenson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Eskenson misses with a takedown
and Williams counters with a left to the body.
Williams throws a one two combo.
Eskenson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Williams.
Nice sprawl there from Williams as Eskenson shoots in.
Williams connects with a leg kick. Eskenson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Williams clinches up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Williams manages to break the clinch.
Sam Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Eskenson with a poor takedown
and Williams counters with a two punch combo.
Eskenson is breathing heavily.
Williams with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Eskenson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Eskenson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Williams lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Eskenson backs up against the cage.
Williams connects with a leg kick. Eskenson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Williams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Eskenson is looking for a takedown.
Eskenson trying to control the position but instead, Williams has worked for underhooks and has pushed Eskenson into the cage.
Williams gets underhooks to prevent Eskenson's takedown attempt.

Williams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Williams shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Eskenson eats them both and turns towards Williams to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Williams lands a jab-cross combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Eskenson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Eskenson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Williams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Eskenson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams is looking to reverse the position.

Eskenson is working to tighten his grip on Williams's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Williams has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Eskenson is really squeezing tight and eventually Williams passes out! Eskenson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Christur Eskenson!
