Whelan closes the distance and clinches.
Whelan throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Smallss head.

It looks like Biggie Smalls has been cut.
Smalls has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Whelan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Smalls tries for a takedown but Whelan manages to get underhooks.

Whelan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Whelan dances in with a quick combination. Smalls is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Whelan snaps Smalls's head back. Smalls stumbles backwards against the cage. Whelan steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Smalls's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans.
