Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Shaw (ranked 816 p4p, 122 weight class) and The Sandman (ranked 1229 p4p, 175 weight class). Shaw comes to the cage accompanied by Family Force 5 - Chainsaw. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, The Sandman!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw takes a swing at Sandman's ribcage but misses.
Shaw throws a hook to the side of Sandman's head but Sandman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sandman moves out of range of the strikes.
Shaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shaw throws a sloppy head kick and Sandman moves out of range easily.
Shaw with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Shaw has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD The Shark Tank in the buildup to the fight.
Shaw misses with an uppercut. Sandman saw that one coming.
Sandman slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Sandman throws a hook to the side of Shaw's head but Shaw sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Shaw with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sandman to score with a decent uppercut.
Shaw's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sandman under the eye.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shaw just misses with a punch to the body.
The fighters circling - Shaw throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jack Shaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shaw swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Sandman misses with a hook. Shaw ducked under it nicely.
A jab from Shaw finds it's way through Sandman's defenses.
Sandman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Shaw throws out a leg kick but Sandman moves out of range and Shaw only half commits.
Sandman with the counter takedown but Shaw avoids it easily.
Sandman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shaw finds it's way round the side to connect with Sandman's head.
Shaw connects with a nice looking jab.
Shaw jabs Sandman to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Shaw has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shaw there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shaw looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sandman or perhaps it was just good defense by Shaw, which made it look bad.

And Sandman tries to counter it with a takedown but Shaw pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Shaw has Sandman up against the cage in a clinch.

Sandman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Shaw gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Shaw lands an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sandman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jack Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Sandman.

Shaw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sandman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shaw has managed to get both his arms back between Sandman's legs - danger averted.

Shaw stands and throws Sandman's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Shaw tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shaw has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sandman is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shaw's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sandman wants to improve his position but Shaw is controlling well.

Shaw is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sandman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shaw.

Sandman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shaw pulls his head out easily.

Shaw lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sandman backwards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sandman is on top in guard.

Oh but Shaw is tightening it up a little... Sandman has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sandman reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sandman taps out! Nice BJJ there by Shaw!

A less than humble Jack Shaw misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
The Sandman spoke after the fight, saying 'cunt was doped up'.
