Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Judson Booth (ranked 25276 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Gordon (ranked 6482 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Judson Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booth tries to clinch up but Gordon circles away and keeps his distance.

Gordon rushes Booth and presses him up against the cage.

Booth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Booth is looking to clinch but Gordon is avoiding it.
Gordon misses with a low kick.
Booth moves in looking to clinch but Gordon pushes him off.
Gordon keeps the fight on the outside.
Booth could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gordon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Booth napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Gordon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You can see the frustration on Booth's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Booth tries to buck Gordon off but Gordon is having none of it.

Booth is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gordon has just dragged him back down to the mat.
A lull in the action here as Gordon stalls from top position.

Gordon has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Gordon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gordon showed some decent athleticism there.
Booth keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Booth wants to improve his position but Gordon is controlling well.
Gordon wants to stand but Booth has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Gordon is taking a breather. Booth says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Gordon is trying to control the action in half guard but Booth is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gordon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Gordon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Booth wants to control but Gordon is keeping busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Booth trying to control but Gordon postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Gordon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gordon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Booth's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Booth is letting Gordon control him for a moment.

Gordon has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Gordon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Booth is looking to clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Booth enables Gordon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Booth manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Gordon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gordon is trying to push Booth away but Booth has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Gordon dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Gordon drives through with a takedown into guard.

Booth has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gordon off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Gordon. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

and Gordon counters with a nice uppercut.
Gordon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Booth tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gordon manages to circle out of the way.

Gordon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Booth tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gordon is in Booth's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gordon gets to his feet. Booth looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Booth wriggles free and stands up.

Booth bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Booth is trying desperately to improve position.
Booth bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gordon tries to improve position but can't.
Booth in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Gordon trying his best to control but Booth has mounted him.
Gordon gets back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gordon tries to roll over but Booth keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Booth has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gordon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gordon lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Gordon wants to stand and escape but instead Booth has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Gordon is trying to keep Booth in close.

Gordon uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Booth tries to keep at a distance but Gordon has taken the fight into the clinch.

Gordon jumps guard and drags Booth to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Gordon has his feet on Booth's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Well Gordon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
