The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Taylor - just one landing.

It looks like Wilfred Wilkinson has been cut.
Taylor connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Taylor feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wilkinson sprawling to the canvas! Wilkinson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Taylor finish him?!

Wilkinson is rocked!
Wilkinson shoots in for a takedown but Taylor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Taylor! But no joy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wilkinson is looking to clinch but Taylor is avoiding it.
Rex Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilkinson misses with a takedown attempt - Taylor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Taylor lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Taylor fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Wilkinson fails with the takedown.
It seemed like Taylor was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilfred Wilkinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wilkinson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
