Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Spiagnu (ranked 6398 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Tibitti (ranked 6877 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Spiagnu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Tibitti!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tibitti drops his hands momentarily and Spiagnu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Spiagnu catches Tibitti with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Spiagnu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tibitti closes the distance and clinches.
Spiagnu is trying to break free.

Tibitti manages to pull guard.
Spiagnu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spiagnu drops back looking for a leg! Tibitti is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tibitti manages to kick Spiagnu off! Spiagnu jumps back into Tibitti's guard.

Tibitti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spiagnu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Spiagnu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Spiagnu is nestled in close to Tibitti, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Spiagnu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tibitti with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Spiagnu has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tibitti's face.
The referee warns Tibitti that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
