Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Engrle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Engrle!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hall closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hall lands in his opponent's guard.
Hall trying to control but Engrle is working from the bottom.
Hall controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Engrle is looking to stand up but Hall isn't so interested in that idea.
Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Engrle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The fight stays on the outside here - Engrle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hall avoids the head kick by Engrle.
Engrle tries to close the distance and clinch but Hall swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hall throws a leg kick but Engrle sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Hall works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


It looks like Stan Engrle has been cut.
Engrle looks to throw the jab but Hall is out of range.
No joy there for Engrle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Engrle is looking to clinch but Hall is avoiding it.
Hall blocks a head kick by Engrle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hall throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Hall changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Engrle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall is staying tight to Engrle's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Engrle wants to control but Hall postures up.

Hall tries for a kimura but Engrle is defending well.

Hall is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Engrle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hall is breathing heavily.
Engrle struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Engrle tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hall tries to advance to mount but Engrle denies him.
Engrle tries to buck Hall off but Hall is having none of it.
Engrle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hall tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hall has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hall advances to mount.
Engrle wants to control but Hall is having none of it.

Hall working for a guillotine from mount but Engrle is in no mood to give up.
Engrle can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oooh a lovely combination from Engrle sends Hall down but not out. Engrle dives into side control looking to finish.


It looks like Ryan Hall has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Engrle is looking to take a break and control but Hall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hall is not content to let Engrle control the position.
Engrle misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hall can't do much from the bottom here.
Engrle wants to stand but Hall is controlling his arm.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hall is trying to maintain the position but Engrle is very close to passing his half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Engrle lands a head kick. Hall smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Engrle wants to clinch up but Hall keeps it at a distance.
Engrle is looking to land body kicks.
Ryan Hall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hall fails to land the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hall takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Engrle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Engrle lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hall backwards.

Hall is trying to break the clinch but Engrle has him pressed against the cage.

Hall tries to score a body lock takedown but Engrle shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Stan Engrle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Hall throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Engrle.
Hall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Engrle circles away quickly and effectively.
Stan Engrle seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Engrle tries to clinch but Hall is having none of it.

Hall throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Engrle lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Both fighters circling a little - Engrle finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Engrle comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Engrle keeps control of Hall as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Hall wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Engrle has him pressed against the cage.

Stan Engrle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Engrle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
