Burnside kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Clipse - Money. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Dangle!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnside fails with an attempt to clinch.
Burnside tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dangle was well out of range. Poor timing from Burnside.
Dangle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burnside as he jumps to the side.
A head kick misses from Dangle.
Burnside bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dangle's head.
Burnside moves away from the strike by Dangle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Burnside looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A jab from Burnside misses.
Burnside fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dangle manages to avoid it.
Dangle ducks under a wild hook from Burnside.
Burnside throws a body punch but Dangle moves out of range.

The fighters circling - Burnside throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Dangle counters with a three punch combo that has Burnside backing up. Burnside nods at Dangle to acknowledge the strikes.

Burnside jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Burnside looks to land a left hand but Dangle moved out of range nicely.

Dangle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Burnside is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dangle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dangle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Burnside with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Burnside on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Burnside tries to get out of the position.
Burnside tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dangle is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Burnside can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Dangle is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Dangle!
