Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brad Bozeck (ranked 6927 p4p, 511 weight class) and Connor Johnson (ranked 6702 p4p, 507 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Bozeck counters with a left and a right that stings Johnson.
Bozeck stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bozeck wants it to stay on the feet.

Bozeck closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Bozeck sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Johnson misses with a jab, cross combination.

Bozeck manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Johnson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bozeck defends well and Johnson ends up having to push Bozeck into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bozeck seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Johnson for as long as he can get away with.
