Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lorenzo Punzo (ranked 5114 p4p, 617 weight class) and Yoko Hama (ranked 4194 p4p, 528 weight class). Yoko Hama will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Punzo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sloppy strikes there by Punzo.
Punzo slows the pace down.
Hama manages to work his way to half guard, despite Punzo's best efforts.
Hama is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Punzo thows a huge punch but Hama dodges it nicely.

Hama on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Punzo is nestled in close to Hama, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Still in half guard, Punzo seems content to control.
Punzo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Punzo is working for a kimura but Hama is defending it quite comfortably.
Punzo is trying to control. Hama wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Punzo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Hama is rocked!
Punzo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hama on the ground.

Punzo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hama is still in real trouble! Can Punzo finish him?

Punzo is working for a kimura but Hama is defending it quite comfortably.
Punzo lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Hama quite badly. Hama pulls Punzo in close trying to recover. Punzo postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Hama on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Hama doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
