PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chong Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Freddy Fader - Bom Bom Suenan kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jimmy Silva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Silva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lee uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Lee has his takedown stuffed

and Silva moves into the clinch.
Lee wants to break the clinch but can't.
Silva gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lee.
Silva lands with a light punch inside.
Lee tries to land knees in the clinch but Silva avoids the damage to the body.
Lee fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chong Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Silva has Lee pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lee tumbling to the mat - Silva dives into Lee's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Lee's guard.

and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lee's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silva.

Lee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lee is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Lee fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lee was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.

Lee had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lee Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.

Silva is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Lee off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
