Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hilton Schultz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anwar Turner!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz stuffs the takedown attempt from Turner. Turner gets slowly back to his feet.
Schultz went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Turner moves into the clinch.
Turner misses with an elbow strike.
Turner stalling against the cage.
Turner missing with knees to the body.
Turner is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Schultz is defending well for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schultz displaying some good clinch control by pressing Turner up against the cage.

Schultz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Turner tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Schultz just stands there and leans against the cage.

Turner misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Schultz.
Schultz is pushing Turner up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Turner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Turner shoots in looking for a takedown. Schultz tries to sprawl out of it but Turner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schultz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Schultz blocks a head kick by Turner.

Schultz manages to break the clinch.

Turner drives through with a takedown into guard.
Schultz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Turner manages to get himself to full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Schultz is standing up over Turner. Turner looks to escape but Schultz dives into side control.
Schultz has control of an arm but Turner manages to advance to Schultz's back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Turner gets his hands free as Schultz looks to control.
Schultz tries to break free.

Turner clinches up against the cage.

Turner pulls Schultz into guard.

Schultz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Schultz has managed to get both his arms back between Turner's legs - danger averted.
Schultz stands up out of Turner's guard for a moment - Turner manages to land a nice upkick.
Schultz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Turner is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Turner is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Schultz's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Turner is breathing heavily.
Still in half guard, Schultz seems content to control.
Turner is trying to maintain the position but Schultz is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Schultz slows the pace down in half guard.
Turner is looking to improve his position.

Turner dives in for a single leg takedown but Schultz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Schultz is looking to counter the offense by Turner and move into the clinch.

Turner tries to keep at a distance but Schultz has taken the fight into the clinch.
Turner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Turner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Schultz slips a nice elbow through Turner's hands, connecting with Turner's forehead.
Schultz is controlling the pace.
Hilton Schultz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Turner tries to kick Schultz off in order to stand up. Schultz Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Turner tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Schultz easily slips into full mount!
Schultz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Schultz won't let Turner get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Schultz looking to control and managing it successfully.
Schultz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Schultz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Turner for as long as he can get away with.
Schultz breaks from Turner's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Turner tries to lock up and control but Schultz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Schultz prevents Turner from getting the reversal.
Schultz moves to the back position.

Schultz is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Turner has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Schultz has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Turner taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Schultz doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hilton Schultz!
