Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Todev (ranked 8934 p4p, 783 weight class) and Kojito Yamate (ranked 9025 p4p, 788 weight class). Kojito Yamate is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kojito Yamate!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todev throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yamate connects with a high kick.
Yamate slips a jab and a cross from Todev.
Todev tries to bum rush Yamate with a series of wild strikes but Yamate uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Todev misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Todev works over Yamate's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Kojito Yamate has been cut.
Yamate buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Todev throws a sloppy head kick and Yamate moves out of range easily.

Yamate gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Todev wants to break free but Yamate has control.
Yamate misses with a knee to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yamate is leaning against Todev and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Yamate has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Todev uses from the top position.
Todev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Yamate might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Todev haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
