Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DAN SIMOES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Tobin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DAN SIMOES!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Tobin!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SIMOES tries to clinch but Tobin is having none of it.

SIMOES has gone for a leg lock! Tobin slips out almost immediately though and dives into SIMOES's guard.

SIMOES changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tobin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Tobin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

SIMOES really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Horrible takedown by Tobin or perhaps it was just good defense by SIMOES which made him look bad.
Tobin tries to close the distance and clinch up but SIMOES swats him away and circles back towards the center.
DAN SIMOES is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tobin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but SIMOES has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Tobin lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

SIMOES looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Tobin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

SIMOES working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tobin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tobin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

SIMOES is looking to control Tobin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can SIMOES avoid being mounted?

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
SIMOES misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Tobin winds up and cracks SIMOES with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tobin.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Tobin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. SIMOES tries to avoid it but Tobin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag SIMOES to the ground. SIMOES escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for SIMOES, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
