Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hades Hug (ranked 2565 p4p, 292 weight class) and Russell Wallace (ranked 1787 p4p, 221 weight class). Hug's entrance music is Animal I Have Become . A fine choice. Wallace is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dust in the Wind. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Hades Hug!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Russell Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace forces Hug back against the cage and clinches.
Hug throws a head punch that misses.
Wallace is looking to take this one to the mat.

Our sources have told us that Hug has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Wallace goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hug prevents it.

Wallace has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hug is trying to keep an underhook but Wallace manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Wallace connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hug some visible discomfort.

Wallace is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hug will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Hug is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Wallace gets his way!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Wallace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hug is just riding it out for now. Wallace eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

My spies in Spar Bros inform me that Wallace has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
You can see the frustration on Hug's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Russell Wallace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wallace has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
