Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between De Janeiro (ranked 2596 p4p, 277 weight class) and Walter Flanagan (ranked 2195 p4p, 240 weight class). Flanagan has chosen The Wizard as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Walter Flanagan!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanagan looks to score with a jab to the body but Janeiro is just out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Flanagan, as that shot connected.
Flanagan lands a jab.
Janeiro keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Janeiro changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Janeiro is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Flanagan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
