Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Noah Owen (ranked 8598 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Fite (ranked 4182 p4p, 211 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Noah Owen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Fite!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fite tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Owen is looking to counter the offense by Fite and move into the clinch.

Fite shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fite showed some decent athleticism there.
Owen is positioning himself well to prevent Fite advancing to mount.
Fite is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Fite trying to control from half guard but Owen is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Owen keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Owen regains full guard. Nicely done.
Owen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Owen looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Owen is looking to stand up but Fite isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fite tries to free his leg and advance position but Owen is retaining full guard.
Owen seems keen to control Fite's posture.

Owen is pulling down on Fite's head. It's preventing any offense from Fite, at least for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Fite throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Owen was covering up waiting for the punch and Fite finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fite must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Owen is adopting a defensive guard.
Owen looking for a sweep. Not yet Owen, not yet.
Fite trying to control the position from guard on top but Owen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Owen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Fite scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Owen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Owen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Owen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Brandon Fite will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Fite closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Owen's guard.

Owen is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Fite presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Fite has hold of one of Owen's legs. Owen is fighting the takedown attempt but Fite gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Owen pushes Fite off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fite tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Owen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fite swings for the body but Owen moves out of range.

Fite looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Owen!

Fite is breathing heavily.
Owen lands a nice looking body kick.

Owen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Owen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Owen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Owen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Fite closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Owen throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Owen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Fite tries to close the distance and clinch but Owen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Owen is looking to counter the offense by Fite and move into the clinch.
Owen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Owen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Noah Owen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Owen gets to his feet. Fite looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Brandon Fite is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fite wants to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noah Owen dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Owen blocks a low kick nicely.
Fite tries to close the distance and clinch up but Owen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fite closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Owen manages to get to full guard.
Fite takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Owen keeping moving, preventing Fite from controlling successfully.
Owen pulls Fite in to control the position.
Owen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fite can do to turn this around?
Owen wants to sweep but no luck.

Owen is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Owen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Owen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Owen pulls Fite in close to prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Fite clinches.

Owen has picked Fite up - he's going for a ride! Owen dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Fite is looking to improve his position.

Owen stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Fite to get to his feet.
Fite misses with a combination

so Owen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Owen is standing up over Fite. Fite looks to escape but Owen dives into side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Owen lands an elbow.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Owen lands a nice forearm strike.

Owen stands up and beckons Fite to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Brandon Fite.
I think Fite has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
