Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calvert tries to bum rush Miranda with a series of wild strikes but Miranda uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Calvert fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Calvert throws a right hand that Miranda ducks under and follows up with a left that Miranda also avoids with ease.
Miranda misses with the combination.

Calvert forces Miranda back against the cage and clinches.

Calvert pulls guard successfully.
Miranda throwing strikes from guard but Calvert blocks nicely.
Calvert seems keen to control Miranda's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miranda thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Miranda drops back looking for a leg! Calvert is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Calvert manages to kick Miranda off! Miranda jumps back into Calvert's guard.

Calvert scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Miranda manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Calvert on his heels. He'll look to pass Calvert's guard now, I'm sure.
Calvert is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Miranda drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miranda jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Calvert trying to keep a closed guard but Miranda is proving a slippery customer.
Miranda in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Calvert is pulling down on Miranda's head. It's preventing any offense from Miranda, at least for the moment.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Calvert is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Miranda tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Calvert swivels and escapes.
Calvert throws out a loose jab but Miranda uses good head movement to avoid it.
Calvert throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Calvert instigates a clinch.
Calvert jumps guard but Miranda stands there with Calvert around his waist. Calvert gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Miranda gets control of Calvert's arms and successfully pulls guard. Miranda will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Calvert gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
