The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shimazaki seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
A clash of legs there as Shimazaki blocks the low kick.

Shimazaki lets loose with a powerful body kick. Yoo will feel that in the morning.

Shimazaki moves in looking to clinch but Yoo pushes him off.

Shimazaki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yoo walks away with a smile on his face. Shimazaki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Shimazaki has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rikudo Shimazaki will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Yoo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shimazaki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yoo is in Shimazaki's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rikudo Shimazaki.
I think Shimazaki has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
