Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Reigns (ranked 6549 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zygmunt Stec (ranked 8919 p4p, 0 weight class). Zygmunt Stec will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Stec with that takedown attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Reigns.
Reigns tries to move into full mount but can't pass Stec's legs.
Reigns tries to stand but Stec is controlling his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stec is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Reigns off and has taken his back!

Stec is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Reigns is defending well though. Stec let's go of the attempt for now.

Zygmunt Stec dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Stec postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Stec jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reigns walks away with a smile on his face. Stec gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Reigns shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reigns showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Reigns tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stec knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Stec flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Reigns passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Stec!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Reigns scoring with strikes but Stec is staying in there.

Stec defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Reigns.
Reigns lands a couple of good shots and Stec has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Reigns has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Stec has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Reigns is looking for the choke from the back position but Stec is controlling his hands well.

Stec is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Reigns gets his way!

Stec shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reigns pinned against the cage. Reigns gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stec tries to clinch but Reigns is having none of it.

Reigns fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stec sprawls well initially but Reigns persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Stec is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Reigns wants to pass the guard but Stec is defending well.
