Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kim Rhee Daebyeol (ranked 7441 p4p, 550 weight class) and John Hedes (ranked 23585 p4p, 707 weight class). John Hedes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hedes goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Daebyeol throws a poor cross that misses
and Hedes counters with a nice uppercut.

Daebyeol rushes Hedes and presses him up against the cage.
Daebyeol stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Hedes wants to get back to striking at distance but Daebyeol won't allow it.

Daebyeol has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hedes is trying to keep an underhook but Daebyeol manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Hedes tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Daebyeol manages to move to mount!
Hedes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daebyeol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Daebyeol postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hedes looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee warns Hedes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hedes is desperately trying to improve his position but Daebyeol has a good base and remains in mount.
Daebyeol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Daebyeol seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hedes for as long as he can get away with.

Daebyeol has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hedes tries to hold on but Daebyeol postures up.

Daebyeol has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hedes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hedes takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Hedes is rocked!

A big strike lands for Daebyeol! That's really hurt Hedes and he's turned his back - Daebyeol keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Daebyeol jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
