Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Lawson (ranked 3929 p4p, 475 weight class) and Marlon Santos (ranked 3814 p4p, 456 weight class). Lawson comes to the cage accompanied by Wait and Bleed by Slipknot. Marlon Santos struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Trevor Lawson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marlon Santos's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lawson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lawson misses the jab.
Santos tries to bum rush Lawson with a series of wild strikes but Lawson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lawson throws a series of strikes that have Santos backpedaling.
Santos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The fighters circling - Lawson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've been told by Lawson's head coaches at IC&E Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A looping hook to the body misses from Santos. Lawson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Santos feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lawsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Lawson throws a looping overhand right but Santos ducks down to avoid it.
Santos looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Lawson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lawson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively.
Santos drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

As Lawson backs off Santos throws a huge counter combo but Lawson manages to avoid it all.

and Santos counters with a series of strikes. Lawson will be more careful next time no doubt.

Santos moves forwards but Lawson connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Marlon Santos has been cut.
