Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zibbe Ribbler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ribbler might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Madball - Heaven Hell. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zibbe Ribbler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brad Mullins!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ribbler closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mullins regains half guard.
Mullins is refusing to be controlled, as Ribbler sits in half guard.
Ribbler is just content to waste time from the top position. Mullins takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Ribbler drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mullins dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ribbler is looking for a triangle but Mullins pushes his legs off easily.

Ribbler is looking for a triangle here but Mullins uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ribbler wants to get back to his feet but Mullins is dominant here and he's now got Ribbler's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mullins trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Ribbler doesn't escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
What can Ribbler do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Ribbler is trying to get back to his feet but Mullins has full control of the position and if anything, Ribbler has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Ribbler tries to escape but Mullins has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Mullins is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Ribbler up.
Mullins doesn't have the hooks in and Ribbler manages to turn into his guard.
Ribbler trying to control the position from guard on top but Mullins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ribbler is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mullins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mullins has escaped and now he's on top!
Ribbler has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Mullins wants to control from the top but Ribbler keeps moving.
Ribbler wants to stand but Mullins is controlling the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ribbler isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mullins stacks Ribbler on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mullins!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice takedown defense from Mullins. No joy for Ribbler on that attempt.
Ribbler shoots in but Mullins avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ribbler wants to control the position but Mullins says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Ribbler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ribbler is looking to control Mullins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ribbler avoid being mounted?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ribbler tries to get back to half guard but can't.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ribbler throws a sloppy head kick and Mullins moves out of range easily.

Ribbler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mullins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ribbler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ribbler's back!

Ribbler wants to get back to his feet.
Mullins keeps control of the position easily here as Ribbler tries to buck him off.

Ribbler is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mullins gets his way!

Ribbler trying to control but not successfully.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ribbler trying to get back to his feet but Mullins is in full control for now.

Mullins looking for the choke but no joy.

Brad Mullins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Ribbler looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mullins!
Mullins is trying desperately to improve position.

Ribbler is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mullins has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mullins!

Ribbler looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ribbler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Ribbler is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Ribbler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mullins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ribbler tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ribbler is trying to improve his position.
Ribbler is trying to work for a sweep but Mullins has mounted him!
Ribbler tries to control Mullins's body but Mullins pushes him off. Ribbler squirms to his side and now Mullins has his back!
I really don't envy Ribbler right now.

Mullins is riding his opponent, not letting Ribbler buck him off.
Ribbler covers up after that shot from Mullins.
Ribbler trying to control the action but Mullins just sinks the hooks in.
Mullins is trying to stick to Ribbler's back but Ribbler is turning into Mullins. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mullins's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ribbler.
Mullins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ribbler has managed to clinch.
Ribbler wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Mullins is looking to break free of the clinch but Ribbler has double underhooks.
Ribbler is pressed up against the cage. Mullins has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ribbler down to the mat. Ribbler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Zibbe Ribbler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brad Mullins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ribbler misses with a few strikes there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zibbe Ribbler showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mullins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
