McDonald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McDonald closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jimenez manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. McDonald keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McDonald has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jimenez uses from the top position.

McDonald throws an elbow that misses. Jimenez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McDonald's guard. Nice move by Jimenez!
Jimenez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jimenez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jimenez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McDonald works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jimenez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McDonald looking to control but Jimenez passes into half guard.
Jimenez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jimenez is trying for a kimura here. McDonald looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jimenez wins by kimura!
