Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damian Kaia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oovompi Laari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Damian Kaia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oovompi Laari!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laari tries to clinch up.
Laari closes the distance and pushes Kaia back into the cage.
Laari is trying to drag Kaia to the mat but Kaia just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Laari is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kaia turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Laari reaches up around Kaia's neck trying to control. But Kaia takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Laari! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Laari is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Kaia celebrates the victory with the fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Damian Kaia!
