Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Von Kormrok (ranked 1632 p4p, 198 weight class) and Scott John (ranked 2569 p4p, 303 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kormrok lands a nice hook to John's body. John takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

John has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kormrok seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if John can turn it around.

Kormrok is trying to trip John. He has hold of a leg but John is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kormrok persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

John has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kormrok is pushing him up against the ropes, looking to control the position.
John lands an elbow inside that Kormrok shrugs off.

Kormrok is trying to drag John to the mat but John just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

John tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kormrok avoids it.

John stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
John crunches a lovely knee into Kormrok's ribcage.

John struggles to land a body shot inside as Kormrok controls his hands.
John lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Von Kormrok's cut is getting worse.

John breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
John connects with a leg kick. Kormrok looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
John throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kormrok changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. John tries to avoid it but Kormrok manages to keep hold of a leg and drag John to the ground. John escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kormrok tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kormrok throws a shot from downtown. John moves away and avoids it.

John cracks Kormrok with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Kormrok falls to his knees and John doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Scott John decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
