Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lauren Gill (ranked 9022 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Weber (ranked 9772 p4p, 881 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Weber's choice of entrance music: Pumped Up Kicks. Lauren Gill has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weber moves into the clinch.
Gill wants to get back to striking at distance but Weber won't allow it.
Gill misses with an elbow over the top.

Weber turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Gill tries to bench press Weber off him but Weber keeps the position.

Weber shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gill's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lauren Gill.
Well Weber has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
