Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Serial Killer (ranked 5187 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbert Whitakker (ranked 5804 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Serial Killer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robbert Whitakker!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Whitakker manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Whitakker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Killer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Killer tries to get out of the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Whitakker thows a huge punch but Killer dodges it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Whitakker is taking a breather. Killer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Let's hope that Whitakker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

It seemed like Whitakker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Whitakker lands with a hook. Killer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Killer drops his hands momentarily and Whitakker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Killer shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Well Whitakker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
