Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikita Bobrov (ranked 6570 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masutatsu Oyama (ranked 25760 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobrov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Тает лёд. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oyama avoids the head kick by Bobrov.
Oyama steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Bobrov.
Oyama changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bobrov tries to avoid it but Oyama manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bobrov to the ground. Bobrov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bobrov moves into the clinch.
Bobrov lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Oyama backwards.
Bobrov lands a nice elbow.
Oyama jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bobrov walks away with a smile on his face. Oyama gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Oyama fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nikita Bobrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masutatsu Oyama.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bobrov scores with a jab. Oyama acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Bobrov throws a shot from downtown. Oyama moves away and avoids it.
Bobrov clinches up against the cage.
Oyama jumps guard but Bobrov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Bobrov tries a head kick but it misses.
Bobrov leaves Oyama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Oyama ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Oyama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bobrov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bobrov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Bobrov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oyama fails to pull guard.
Oyama tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bobrov just stands there and leans against the cage.

Oyama has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Bobrov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Oyama sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oyama wants to counter with a clinch but Bobrov pushes him away.
A combination from Bobrov does no damage.

Oyama scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Oyama advances to full mount.
Oyama working for a guillotine from mount but Bobrov is in no mood to give up.
Oyama tries to control but Bobrov wriggling away.
Oyama working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Bobrov turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Oyama off and cradles Bobrov's limp body as Oyama celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Masutatsu Oyama!
