The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

North closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Caesar quickly recovers to half guard.
Caesar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
North works his way into side control.
Caesar is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

North decides to stand back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
North looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Caesar is fending him off so far but North persists. Nope, Caesar circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Caesar wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
North is looking to take a break and control but Caesar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
